Governance Institute and Women on Boards become allies
Governance Institute of Australia is delighted to announce the launch of a strategic alliance with Women on Boards.
Governance Institute CEO Megan Motto and Women on Boards Executive Director Claire Braund welcomed the alliance as being mutually beneficial for both organisations and one that reflected the shared values of gender equity in board and leadership roles across business, government and community sector organisations.
“We know there are improvements to gender balance being made in the boardrooms of many organisations but there is still some way to go,” Ms Motto said.
“Improving the overall governance of organisations plays a key role in diversifying the boardroom — and women who serve on boards need the tools to be effective.
“Governance Institute is offering a range of key directorship courses to Women on Board members at a discounted rate. These courses are perfect for those keen to boost their skills in governance, risk and compliance.”
Ms Braund said that Women on Boards had been highly effective in achieving greater gender balance in Australian boardrooms and its members would benefit from the high-quality training courses being provided by Governance Institute as part of the alliance.
Participants in the courses will receive associated CPD hours.
