We are delighted to announce that Andrew Leake FGIA FCG will be the next President of Governance Institute of Australia.

Andrew will take over the role from our current President John Mazengarb from 1 January 2021.

In other Governance Institute news, we have also announced the recipients of two important awards.

Congratulations to Duncan Glasgow FGIA FCG who has received the annual President’s award, and to Chris Wells FGIA FCG for receiving life membership.

President John Mazengarb announced the recipients at National Conference last week, saying: “The President’s award recognises outstanding service, creating a positive impact for a particular project or contribution. And Life Membership recognises eminent achievement and service of the highest degree by a member of Governance Institute. Congratulations to Duncan and Chris on this important recognition.”

We are also pleased to announce that Caron Sugars FGIA FCG has been elected as a Director to Governance Institute of Australia’s Board and as a Councillor for The Chartered Governance Institute Australian Division.

Congratulations to Caron on these two appointments!
