A new options paper suggests improving Australia’s federal public integrity system by establishing a new federal anti-corruption body.

The paper, prepared as part of the Australian Research Council-funded Linkage Project, was recently launched at a symposium held in Canberra in August. Its proposals come at a time of heightened public concerns about corruption.

Governance Institute’s latest Ethics Index, for example, shows that the top ethical issues in business continue to be corruption, followed by company tax avoidance and misleading and deceptive advertising.
