Coronavirus (COVID-19) – information for members and customers

Updated 31/03/20

The health and wellbeing of our members, event and course attendees, and employees is a key priority for the Governance Institute of Australia.

Accordingly, we are closely monitoring the evolving situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19).

We understand that our members may be concerned by the global developments, particularly in relation to their face-to-face attendance at events and courses and we will continue to draw directly on the official advice and information provided by the World Health Organisation and by both Federal and State government authorities.

Accordingly, we are moving all postgraduate students to fully online (distance) study, effective from Monday 23 March 2020 and for the remainder of this semester.

All enrolled students have been emailed directly with further information about this.

Face to face short course delivery will not be available until July at this stage. However, all our short courses are available online.

These are temporary measures and we will continue to monitor official advice and update our program of events accordingly.

We have just launched our annual Governance and Risk Management Forum, to be held on 11 and 12 May, as a completely online event. Business leaders from across key sectors will share their knowledge, strategies and the latest updates to help you and your organisation be best-positioned during this critical time. We have communicated further information about our Virtual Governance and Risk Management Forum directly to our members and attendees.

We will continue to update this page as further information comes to hand.
