Governance Institute appoints two new directors
Governance Institute of Australia is delighted to welcome two new board members: Helen Hardy and Ainslie Cunningham.
Helen is Company Secretary at Origin Energy and has over 20 years’ experience in governance, financial reporting and corporate law across a number of sectors including large listed and not-for-profit. She is admitted to legal practice in NSW and is also a chartered accountant and chartered secretary.
A fellow of Governance Institute of Australia, Helen is Chair of its NSW Council and a member of its Legislative Review Committee.
“I am delighted to be joining the board and working more closely with Chair Pauline Vamos and CEO Megan Motto,” Ms Hardy said.
“Governance Institute is a leader in governance and risk management practices, and I feel privileged to be able to contribute to its work in this dynamic environment.”
Ainslie Cunningham is a qualified company secretary, governance and risk manager and a co-founder and Director of governance consulting firm 3YS Owls.
Ainslie is also a fellow of Governance Institute of Australia and The Chartered Governance Institute.
She said she is thrilled to be joining Governance Institute’s board.
“Having been a longstanding member and fellow, I am thrilled to be joining the board of Governance Institute of Australia at an exciting time to enable me to contribute from another level within the organisation,” Ms Cunningham said.
Governance Institute Chair Pauline Vamos welcomed Helen and Ainslie to the board.
“We are delighted to welcome Helen and Ainslie, particularly at a time of significant change and growth for Governance Institute and our members,” Ms Vamos said.
“Both new directors are highly-skilled and experienced professionals, and we look forward to a busy, and productive year ahead.”
Ms Vamos also thanked outgoing director Tim Timchur for his dedication and hard work as a director.
