Volunteer governance opportunities
Governance Institute is pleased to offer a complimentary web listing service for Not-for-Profit organisations requiring assistance in their governance practices. Many NFP organisations would benefit from help from qualified Governance Institute members and we encourage members to offer their support. Please note that these organisations are generally seeking volunteers; however, independent consultants or governance advisers may wish to discuss opportunities with the organisation to quote for the work required.

Moreland Energy Foundation based in Brunswick, VIC is a not-for-profit organisation seeking a Company Secretary to meet its corporate governance legal and regulatory obligations. It is a voluntary role working collaboratively alongside the CEO, Chair of the Board and Board Members. You will be responsible for preforming the duties of a Company Secretary as required by the Corporations Act, the Companies Constitution, and any relevant legislation or regulation. Plenty Valley Montessori School Association, based in Melbourne, Victoria, is seeking a volunteer Non-executive Board Director to assist with overseeing all aspects of the School within its regulatory environment, including its control and accountability systems and for approving the expenditure and capital budgets. Your commitment will include: preparation and compilation of board papers for monthly board meetings - held third Monday evening 6:30pm-8:30pm each month, quarterly strategy/planning days, preparation and communication of minutes, lodgement of annual statements to ACNC and other reporting bodies, organisation of AGM and writing briefing papers.
