Speaker Highlights:

Cynthia Payne, Managing Director at Anchor Excellence

Cynthia is the Managing Director at Anchor Excellence, an organization of 20 experts who provide board and executive services for the aged care sector. Cynthia holds an MBA, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nursing & also serves as a Board Advisor for Total Construction, a leading design and construction company in Australia, and a Non Executive Board Member for PainChek, a listed entity that develops innovative pain assessment solutions.

Topic: State of the nation | Update on Governance and Reform in Aged Care

Cynthia will provide a current update and discussion for executives and directors understanding the state of Reform, what it is in for Governance and what key risks you need to have in your line of sight.

Dr Debbie Jaggers, State Manager NSW, National Disability Services (NDS). NSW and national peak body representing disability providers.

Debbie initially trained as a physiologist and following her Ph.D. worked as a research scientist in the UK. Since then Debbie's career has followed a path of quality service delivery and business transformation in the UK and Australia. Debbie has worked across many areas of health and social care, including  service transformation, quality and safety, primary secondary and tertiary care, aged care and disability.

Debbie brings many years' experience of corporate and clinical governance at both regional and national level.

Topic: Embracing Change: Australian Disability Reform

This presentation will delve into the complex landscape of disability reform in Australia and specifically NSW. From a disability provider’s perspective there will be a focus on reform progress to date and the challenges and opportunities for the road ahead. The current disability reform agenda provides a once in a lifetime opportunity to strengthen the disability ecosystem for a more inclusive society into the future.

Ramona Roach, FGIA, CEO Ethika Group

As CEO of Ethika Group, a women-led, purpose driven firm, Ramona advises some of Australia's most prominent organisations in healthcare, medical research and for purpose industries. Ramona also leads Ethika Foundation, a charity focused on uplifting disadvantaged communities, through which she hopes to empower positive change and redefine integrity in professional services

She has deep expertise in AI, Operational Resilience, and Data & Analytics across a wide range of industries.

Bernadette is the Founder and Principal Consultant at Newcastle based firm, Governeering.

She works mostly with clients in the For Purpose sector, particularly in education, aged care, and disability support, drawing on her expertise to help boards and senior management make smarter, more considered, and value-aligned decisions.

Dr Moira Scerri, lecturer and researcher UTS

Dr. Moira Scerri is an expert in service design, service operations management and service performance management and measurements at the University of Technology Sydney. Her research and teaching focuses technology readiness, technology adoption and post adoption of new and emerging technologies in aged care and disabilities.

Topic: Customers Growing Older. What it means to redesign your services to suit changing needs

Incorporating elder persona development into aged and disability care frameworks allows for a nuanced understanding of the diverse needs of older adults. By utilising customer journey maps, organisations can visualise and enhance each stage of the service experience, ensuring that interventions are tailored and meaningful.
