Katie Simpson FGIA FCG, General Manager - Advisory, Directors Australia

As General Manager - Advisory at Directors Australia, Katie advises clients across a range of sectors to enhance board and organisational performance through strategy, coupled with best fit governance systems and practices. Katie also leads Directors Australia’s CoSec HubTM  service offering.

Katie has extensive experience leading legal, governance, risk and assurance teams, providing boards and C-Suite with pragmatic legal and governance advice and delivering governance transformation projects and regulatory reform programs.

A qualified lawyer and company secretary, Katie has held senior management roles across banking, insurance, funds management, superannuation and aviation. In these roles, Katie has supported the development and execution of corporate strategy in profit-for-member, semi-government and for-profit entities.

Katie holds a Bachelor of Laws, Graduate Diploma (Applied Corporate Governance) and is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and Chartered Governance Institute.

Anthony Zgrajewski FGIA, Senior Corporate Risk and Governance Officer, QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute 

Anthony is a skilled governance, risk and compliance professional, with over 20 years’ experience in local government and the tertiary education and research sectors.  He is an experienced Company Secretary and is a fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and a professional member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Anthony is currently the Corporate Risk and Governance Officer at the Queensland Institute of Medical Research, focusing on improving the risk and compliance frameworks.  He has previously held the roles of Manager Enterprise Governance and Associate Director, Governance and Compliance at the University of Queensland.
