This half-day course provides practical information and resources you can apply directly in your role as company secretary.
Covering the essentials of corporate governance, the program will equip you to:
- comply with legislative and regulatory obligations
- promote and initiate corporate governance frameworks and processes
- manage director and shareholder meetings
- manage and produce meeting minutes.
Perform your key responsibilities with confidence, including statutory obligations, corporate governance, director and shareholder meetings and minutes.

Attendance and completion of this course is cross recognisable with the Legal Practice Board of WA CPD hours in:
- Procedures, templates and manuals - 1.0 hrs
- Statutory and regulatory obligations - 1.5 hrs
- Company Secretary role including legal responsibilities of the role - 2.5 hrs.
How the course will be delivered
This half-day course delivered virtually via zoom is facilitated by an experienced trainer with practical governance/risk management experience. You will learn from the facilitator, from your peers and by examining case studies which will support your post-course application of knowledge in the workplace.
