Challenging conversations to enable divergent thinking

Divergence is essential if you are serious about innovation and collaboration. This seminar will share an easy to understand framework and explore the four enablers for innovation and collaboration. This will enable existing leaders to deeply understand the role they play in encouraging future/emerging leaders to have the courage to challenge current thinking and disrupt the status quo. The role of leaders to encourage the professional minds and hearts of the future has never been more important than in our current business environment.

You should attend if you are a:

  • director
  • CEO or executive
  • company secretary
  • late career governance professional

Key insights

Existing leaders will appreciate their critical role in enabling divergent thinking by engaging in challenging conversations with their future or emerging leaders. They are the linchpin in creating a culture where people are open and not afraid to share their thinking and feelings. The benefit of this is:

  • trust is high enabling — things get done with greater speed because conversations are direct and messages are clear
  • everyone gets used to challenging things and people embrace this with passion and enthusiasm
  • along with the courage to share what you are really thinking and feeling, people walk toward conflict so it is ignited earlier and resolved more constructively.
