Our risk management experts will deliver hands-on learning outcomes — so be prepared to get involved. You will also receive an e-toolkit that provides detailed guidance for each session topic and valuable supplementary materials.

Heather Brown, Vice President — Functional Assurance, BHP

Heather's collaborative approach and leadership experience allow her to cut through complex issues quickly by identifying the connections between frameworks, processes and people. This helps organisations make the cultural shifts needed for positive and sustainable change.

Patrick leads and coordinates the enterprise risk, resilience, protective security, compliance, assurance, fraud and corruption prevention, ethics, environmental governance, quality management, and insurance and claims programs. His current focus is on evolving and integrating key 2nd Line of Assurance risk functions and on the introduction of an enterprise integrated management system for Sydney Water.

Patrick has held leadership, management, strategy and policy appointments in the areas of enterprise, operational and resilience risk management in the public and private sectors in Australia and overseas. Since leaving the Australian Army he has managed the global group security and resilience risk programs for Qantas Airways and BHP Billiton; the enterprise and project risk, resilience and insurance programs at BAE Systems Australia; and the enterprise risk and business resilience programs at Transport for NSW.
